The Islamic Marriage
Book a memorable marriage ceremony with an authorised Marriage Celebrant at the venue of your choice.
The Islamic Marriage is necessary upon every Muslim that gets married. From Islam’s point of view, the Islamic Marriage is a commitment, a safeguard, and a religious duty. Today, the process in which two individuals get married is the same in Islam as it was at the time of the Prophet PBUH.
- To successfully marry Islamically, there are a few requirements to meet. The first and most important one, is to have a Wali, otherwise known as a Guardian, for the bride. This is to have someone who can speak on her behalf with her suitor.
- The Islamic Marriage process requires a Mahr, otherwise known as a Gift, to be given to the bride at the time of the marriage. This can be an agreed upon gift – many have been known to gift jewellery, money or even a special copy of the Quran.
- Another essential requirement is the presence of witnesses. There must be two male witnesses who are above the age of 18 years. They can be siblings, fathers, uncles, or friends.
- Upon booking an appointment with our Marriage celebrant, it is important to bring your identity documents with you. Your original documents needed to be sited by the Marriage Celebrant before processing the Islamic Marriage.
